If an agitator becomes threatening please remember: Avoid Engagement - with agitators and counter protesters Stay Calm - speak slowly and do not raise your voice Do not use body language or gestures that provoke the agitator further Do not get within two arms length of the person Use buddy system to ensure no one is isolated Identity safe exits or escape routes Take video or photos if possible and share them with us and with local authorities. -- Peaceful protest should be exactly that.  Peaceful.   Stay Safe

    Juneteenth (National Holiday)

    Juneteenth (short for “June Nineteenth”) marks the day when federal troops arrived in Galveston, Texas in 1865 to take control of the state and ensure that all enslaved people be freed. The troops’ arrival came a full two and a half years after the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation. Juneteenth honors the end to slavery in the United States and is considered the longest-running African American holiday. On June 17, 2021, it officially became a federal holiday." We encourage you to celebrate Juneteenth Freedom Day with us.
